Kevin McKidd Predicts Bumpy Ride For Greys Anatomy Season 8

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Keep those Kleenex boxes close, Greys Anatomy fans. Access Hollywood caught up with Kevin McKidd (who plays Dr. Owen Hunt on the ABC series) at the Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif., on Saturday where the handsome actor dished the dirt on whats in store for the angst-filled staff of Seattle Grace. Its a big season. My character just got promoted to the chief of the hospital which comes out of the blue, Kevin told Access of the medical dramas eighth season, while promoting his upcoming Pixar film, Brave at the expo on Saturday. Theres a lot of the usual behind-the-scenes drama. Theres problems with Christina [played by Sandra Oh] and Owen that might or might not be resolved. Its going to be a bumpy ride, he added. While Kevins character may face a tough road ahead, the actor himself is excited for the season as he gets to step behind the camera for an episode. Im actually just about to start prepping my next episode that Im directing, which is exciting, he told Access. I directed one last season. As for rumors that Season 8 may be the last for some Greys stars, Kevin said nobody knows that yet. All of that is up in the air, he said. So well have to see. Greys Anatomy Season 8 will premiere on September 22 on ABC. Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
